The Evangelical Catholic equips Catholic ministries for evangelization by inspiring, training, and supporting local leaders to drive dynamic outreach. Because the need for evangelization is so great in the world and Catholic ministries are increasingly awakening to the power Jesus has given them for this great mission, demand for the EC’s help is growing.

As our campus ministry Evangelization Alliances expand, we need to hire Alliance Associates to mentor the leaders of these ministries to reach more people in their community with the life of Jesus in the Church. The position requires that the associate live in the Madison, WI area.

An Evangelical Catholic Alliance Associate is a demanding position. Associates must build trust quickly, inspire paradigmatic shifts in ministry, and provide training and support that makes dynamic evangelization sustainable. Associates mentor, train and guide the main student leaders of the ministry by meeting one-on-one with them. These meetings will consist of developing the leaders’ own life in discipleship and will also further the culture of conversion, while also developing the drive of the ministry by setting specific goals and holding each ministry leader accountable. All of this is driven while maintaining a spirit of love, appreciation, and gentleness.

Alliance Associates are required to travel up to 8-10 nights per month. Because of the demands of the role and the required travel, talented leaders will be compensated well as Alliance Associates.

As our parish Evangelization Alliances expand, we need to hire Alliance Consultants to lead these ministries to reach more people in their community with the life of Jesus in the Church. The position requires the consultant to live in the Madison, WI area.

An Evangelical Catholic Alliance Consultant is a demanding position. Consultants must build trust quickly, inspire paradigmatic shifts in ministry, and provide training and support that makes dynamic evangelization sustainable. Consultants train and guide the pastoral staff of the ministry, meet one-on-one with pastors, staff, and other relevant leaders to further the culture of conversion, and drive the development of the ministry. Consultants also work with parish leadership to set specific goals, and provide coaching to empower the leadership to attain these goals. All of this is driven while maintaining a spirit of love, appreciation, and gentleness.

University of Northern Iowa

Director of Campus Ministry

St. Stephen the Witness Catholic Student Center at the University of Northern Iowa seeks a Director of Campus Ministry.  The Director will lead professional staff, peer ministers, students, and community members with a vision of evangelizing the campus community.  The purpose of St. Stephen’s is to form missionary disciples to share the Good News on the UNI campus.  Therefore, the Director needs to be a committed disciple of Jesus Christ with a shepherd’s heart for the lost.  The Director will help continue to implement the Evangelical Catholic model of ministry, as they will be entering service at St. Stephen’s in the early stages of a three-year alliance with EC.

As the administrator of the Student Center, the Director needs to be a trustworthy and proven steward of resources, and an effective leader.  The Director will be the steward of an annual budget of over $400,000, as well as of the buildings and grounds of the Student Center.  The Director will collaborate with the Chaplain on the development and fundraising work necessary to meet annual expenses and strengthen the financial position of the Student Center for the future.

This full-time, 12-month position starts July 1, 2017, and offers benefits.  Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Requirements:

  • Practicing Catholic
  • Master’s degree in theological or ministry studies
  • Several years of experience in ministry and administration, preferably in the campus ministry setting
  • Strong skills in the areas of communication, representing the Catholic faith, use of technology, a relating with young adults
  • Readiness to engage in retreat and service ministry settings
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends

Director of Evangelization

St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, Ames, IA is looking to hire a full-time (with benefits), 11-month Director of Evangelization for the 2017-18 parish year. The Director of Evangelization will foster within the parish a culture of missionary discipleship and evangelization through gathering, forming, training and sending adult parishioners as evangelizers in the world. Applicants must be willing to meet with adult parishioners for one-on-one discipleship and leader formation groups. The Director will also oversee and work alongside the Coordinator of Faith Formation for the children’s faith formation program.

The Director of Music will coordinate all aspects of music ministry involving resident parishioners, college students, and youth in this dynamic parish setting.
